Veterinary Technicians

Hello! My name is Nancy and I am a Veterinary Technician. After attending California Polytechnic State University at San Luis Obispo, I worked in a breeding program at an Arabian Horse Ranch. I began working as a technician in several small animal hospitals in southern California before migrating to Portland in 1986. Upon my arrival, I began working at Town & Country Animal Hospital and have been here on and off since then. I took breaks here and there to raise a family and assist with my husband’s business. When I’m not working, I can be found riding my horse, who I refer to as “my therapist”, or trying to convince my Border Collie-cross to catch a frisbee.

Since graduation Dr. Choate has been practicing small animal medicine. Her interests are dermatology, senior health, hospice care, wellness prevention, and acupuncture.

Hi! My name is Emily and I am 24 years young. I was born in Phoenix, Arizona and moved to Oregon when I was about 2 years old. I graduated from Centennial Highschool in 2007 and have been working ever since. I recently became an auntie for the first time to a beautiful nephew named David Patrick. I’ve grown up surrounded by animals and wouldn’t have it any other way. At one time, my mother made her career as a veterinary technician. I have a wonderful dog, Lise. She is a pitbull-cross who I have had for close to year and she is a GREAT pet.
