Dr. Michael Andrew, hospital owner and director, is a native Oregonian who attended Oregon State University and Washington State University School of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Andrew has grown Town and Country Animal Hospital into one of Southeast Portland's premier neighborhood veterinary hospitals over the last 30 years. Dr. Andrew is an excellent, experienced and compassionate veterinarian who believes in being an advocate for your pet.
Dr. Andrew enjoys many activities including the sport of triathlon and golfing and now has a new golfing buddy, Wilson, his new French bulldog.
Dr. Emily Schoenrock joined Town and Country Animal Hospital as an Associate Veterinarian in the Summer of 2017. Dr. Schoenrock was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, and has enjoyed a significant amount of time in the Pacific Northwest where she has had family since a young age. She enjoys hiking, camping, playing squash, and spending time with her old beagle, Jackie. She also has two cats whom have both had a double enucleation (both of their eyes have been removed) due to illness at a young age. She enjoys the marvels of learning how little this disability limits her cats!
Dr. Schoenrock graduated from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine and completed a year of extra training during an Internship at Iowa State University. Her medical interests include surgery, pain management, and ultrasound. She has been involved in several research studies with topics spanning post-operative pain management, aseptic technique, and even microsurgery. Recently, one of her research studies evaluating a potential new analgesic following spay surgeries was published in the Journal of American Veterinary Medical Association.
Her undergraduate degrees were completed at UC Berkeley and California State University, East Bay, where she studied Mass Communications, Biology, and Chemistry.
More than just a vet, Portland Oregon's Town and Country Animal Hospital is your animal's second family.
