Vaccinations can protect against these possibly life-threatening illnesses.

Feline Leukemia Virus: A form of cancer, which is usually fatal. Weight loss, depression, anemia, fever, vomiting & decrease in energy are symptoms of this deadly viral disease. The presence of this disease can be detected by a simple blood test. It is spread through exposure to bodily fluids, such as saliva, urine, feces, and blood.

Feline Respiratory Disease (Chlamydia, Rhinotracheitis & Calici Viruses): Transmissible through the air, these diseases can cause symptoms of red and weepy eyes, stuffy nose, breathing problems, fever, sneezing or coughing.

Distemper (Panleukopenia): Fever, loss of appetite, weakness, vomiting and diarrhea are signs that this very contagious and deadly virus is attacking the immune system & intestinal tract of an unvaccinatied cat.

Rabies: Transmitted through saliva from biting, all warm-blooded animals are susceptible to this viral infection. Causing severe damage to the central nervous system this virus often results in paralysis and death. There is no cure for this infection and vaccination is essential and required by law.

Yearly Examinations: The exam can often detect problems with the heart, kidneys, liver & other vital organs (or even cancer) before they become life-threatening.

External Parasites: Fleas, ticks, lice, & mosquitoes carry diseases and are just plain bothersome. Some animals have allergies and can break out from just a few bites.

Internal Parasites: These tiny pests can be deadly to your cat. A microscopic exam of your pet’s fresh stool is needed to detect them.

Dental Disease: If your cat’s teeth and gums aren’t cared for, bacteria can spread to vital organs such as the heart, kidneys, liver, and can shorten your pet’s life.

Spaying or Neutering: If you aren’t a breeder, your cat should be altered. This operation may reduce the chances of contracting several diseases, can increase life expectancy, & can improve your pet’s behavior.
